→ camille josephine baxtor
→ prefers to be called milley or mille
→ 22 years old; born october 31st (halloween baby)
→ the first of three children for adelle baxtor
→ her mother, a self-proclaimed gypsy, was never in one place for too long and thus had plenty of boyfriends all over the country
→ camille came around after a night with michael carrigan, an irish business man from san franciso, her sister samantha from a jewish math teacher she'd met in chicago and lastly her little brother max who was the product of her mother's last and most healthy relationship with a small-town owner of a deli in atlantic city
→ growing up with a mother just shy of cher in mermaids, mille never really had good, solid roots but always understood family. her mother was passionate about her children and about her life and passed the same trait onto her children
→ two years after her graduation and into her college career at a university in the heart of chicago, mille's mother passed away. she had been struggling with breast cancer that spread quickly to her lungs shortly after giving birth to max
→ though she thought she would be distraught, mille took her mother's death in a way she never would have expected. instead of sitting around with tears in her eyes, she manned up. she moved back to longport. her little sister was only fifteen at the time and her brother was just an infant and as the eldest with no father to speak of, she had to come back and do something to take care of them
→ max's father, the deli owner from atlantic city, had left spooked when he'd heard of the cancer, claiming to pay the child support he needed to and even visit though he only followed through with the former. as months and soon years went by, though, she liked it that way. he was better off
→ at the age of twenty-one, mille grouped together with her grandfather who helped her sell the house she had been living in with her mother in order to purchase an apartment. with samantha off at school and max under her wing, she opted to start fresh. her mother's inheritance, the child support and constant cash flow from her grandparents wouldn't last her forever
→ her younger brother, now 4, is like a son to her for obvious reasons but because of her mother's spirit still sticking with her throughout, she constantly tries to reinforce to max that she'll always be around him
→ though max hardly ever sees his father if at all, mille loves having a man or two around to keep him company when a mother figure just doesn't cut it; cue the boyfriends. or boyfriend, rather...
→ another male in max's life, and surprisingly so, is ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) nb. he and his friend ralfie, who eerily have their eye on her at almost all hours of the day as far as she knows, always end up with her little bro. he's a master escape artist and has gotten into the habit of wandering off when mille's not looking so whenever he does, she knows just who to go to; the apartment upstairs where she's bound to find max and nicky playing guitar hero
→ mille tends to be a little bit of a weirdo. first off, she's obsessed with animals. with her giant saint bernard rambo and her turtle skittle, she's got all the pets her tiny apartment shared with kephart can handle, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't adopt the whole zoo if she could
